STATEMENT BY FRANK G. HOARE, INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE NEW YORK STATE THRUWAY AUTHORITY

I’m pleased to announce that early Saturday morning Norman H. Jones was confirmed by the New York State Senate as a new member of our Board of Directors. 

Mr. Jones lives in the Rochester area and retired after several decades of distinguished public service. He was the Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Services for the City of Rochester from 2014 to 2021. Mr. Jones also served in various other positions in the Department of Environmental Services before becoming Commissioner. Mr. Jones received his degree from the University at Buffalo.

I would like to thank Governor Kathy Hochul for nominating Mr. Jones. He joins Chairperson Joanne Mahoney, Heather Briccetti Mulligan, Jose’ Holguin-Veras and Robert Megna.
