TRAVEL ADVISORY: ENTRANCE RAMP TO I-87/I-287 SOUTHBOUND AND GOV. MARIO M. CUOMO BRIDGE IN SOUTH NYACK TO CLOSE THIS WEEKEND
Ramp Will Be Closed from 10 PM Friday, April 25, to 5 AM Monday, April 28
The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the ramp from northbound Route 9W to the southbound Thruway (I-87/I-287) and Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge in the hamlet of South Nyack will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, April 25, through 5 a.m. Monday, April 28, to facilitate maintenance work, weather permitting. Motorists should follow the posted one-mile detour to interchange 11 in Nyack to access the southbound Thruway and bridge.
Motorists will still be able to enter the northbound Thruway from Route 9W during the weekend closure.
For up-to-date travel information, motorists are encouraged to download the Thruway’s mobile app which is available to download for free on iPhone and Android devices. The app provides motorists direct access to real-time traffic and navigation assistance while on the go. Travelers can also visit the Thruway Authority's interactive Traveler Map which features live traffic cameras. Motorists can also sign up for TRANSalert e-mails, which provide the latest traffic conditions along the Thruway.
